As a part of the curriculum the Pre Nursery children of Orchids the International School-BTM Layout, an elite school close to IAS Colony, did an activity on ‘Sensory Table’ on 3rd Nov 2015. This activity was conducted to develop sense of touch, feel and sight. The teacher set up three different colours mixed with water and the children were asked to observe the same to identify the different colours for sense of sight. For sense of hearing, sound shakers were made using rice, pebbles and soft cotton balls. The children explored the different sounds made by the shakers. For sense of touch, rough and smooth texture cards were made and children felt the same by touching it. Thus it was an experiential learning for the children.
