Food pyramid activity-K2


Teachers started the session by asking children about their food habits, then they explained them about importance of healthy food and even explained children that how the proper eating habits are necessary to stay healthy on regular intervals. Teachers informed them that healthy food is divided into 5 groups with the names such as,

• Carbohydrates
• Vitamins
• Minerals
• Proteins, and
• Fats
Explained about all the 5-groups in detail with example. To strengthen the concept teachers brought real eatables and categorized them according to groups under which they lie and prepared a FOOD PYRAMID. They even made children to understand that the quantity also matters. Children enjoyed the concept and were confident while answering about food groups.
