Children usually learn about colour during their preschool years. The ability to identify colours is considered a marker and milestone in a child’s cognitive process and is often part of early screening for development and educational admittance. Recognizing the colours and identifying the colour names is an important part of a child’s development. Early identification of colours helps to create the cognitive link between visual clues and words. To bring early identification of colours among the children Pre Nursery OISS introduced Red Colour on 28th July 2016. Classroom was decorated with red colour balloons and red colour objects were displayed on the table. Children and teachers were dressed in red. Teacher pointed and out all the red objects displayed. At the end of the day sponge dabbing activity with red paint was done by children on apple template for children to reinforce the colour.
