August 29th is the birthday of Gidugu Venkata Ramamurthy Panthulu, who relentlessly fought for the introduction of ‘Vaaduka Bhasha’ or spoken dialect at all levels and this day is being celebrated as the Telugu Language Day. On this occasion, Orchids The International School – Hyderabad, a prominent CBSE school close to Sarojini Naidu Nagar, had a cultural programme organized by the Telugu department at the special assembly on 27/8/15. The students of various classes, both from the primary and the secondary sections who are studying Telugu as their second language, participated with a lot of enthusiasm.
