Independence Day

“If Our Country Is Worth Dying For In The Time Of War, Let Us Resolve That It Is Truly Worth Living For In The Time Of Peace.”
Keeping this thought in mind, Orchids – The International School, Malad celebrated Independence Day for the Pre –Primary section on 14 th August, 2017.

 

The teachers explained the importance of this day for our country. The teachers also explained the Janmashtami festival as it was on the same day this year. As a take home activity, Pre – Nursery children were made to do candy with flowers representing national flag, Nursery children made a candy with vegetable printing representing national flag , K1 children made a kite with sponge dabbing representing national flag. The K2 children made a matka (pot) representing Janmashtami festival in which they did bubble wrap dabbing representing the national flag of India. The children really enjoyed the celebration and were very proud about their country’s rich historic heritage.
