Investiture Ceremony.


From today you all lead the school, so inspire, aspire and triumph.
Leaders become great, not because of their power, but because of their ability to empower others and this is exactly the idea behind a Student Council in the school. Therefore, Orchids-The International School (CBSE) Masjid Bunder-Pallagully conducted their 4th Student Council Election and through an impartial and unbiased process future leaders were elected. On 16th July, 2016, elected representatives were bestowed with the responsibility of leading the school with their commitment, conviction and competence. The Investiture Ceremony thus marked the inaugural of the Student Council for the Academic Session 2016-17. The events of the day began with the significant ‘Lightning of the Lamp’ by our honorable Chief Guest, Shri Ramesh Patkure, Assistant Police Inspector of the Anti-Terrorism Cell in the presence of our respected Principal, Ms. Beena Nayaken and Vice Principal, Ms. Priya Kejriwal and other honorable dignitaries. A lively Kathak dance performed by students of Grade 2-4 on ‘Saraswati Vandana’ set the stage ablaze and the mood right for the events to follow. The end of the performance led to the entry of the Head Boy, Head Girl, Sports Captain and House Captains and Assistant House Captains with their respective flags followed by the school band. The elected members hoisted their respective flags in their posts and took position to receive their sashes and badges. To do the honours our honorable Chief Guest, Shri Ramesh Patkure, was called forward and the Head Boy, Head Girl and Sports Captain, were bestowed with their respective responsibilities. Our Principal, Ms. Beena Nayaken carried forward the ceremony by conferring the Carination House Captain and Assistant House Captain with their charges. Daffodil House Captain and Assistant House Captain received their honours from Ms. Priya Kejriwal, Vice Principal. The other honourable guests, Ms. Shobha Shelar (Sub-Inspector) and Shri. Shivkumar Bhagade (Sub-Inspector) did the honours for the Marigold and Tulip House Captains and Assistant House Captains, respectively. There was a befitting thundering round of applause for the elected Student Council, who most definitely had earned and deserved it. The ceremony continued with the discipline prefects and class representatives receiving their honours from the other dignitaries and their class teachers respectively. Principal, Ms.Beena Nayaken then addressed the students and motivated them with her inspirational words and the council members and discipline prefects took an oath to do their duties sincerely and dedicatedly.
