On 28th April students of grade IX & X of OIST, offered a treat to eye as well as to taste buds through the competition ‘Cooking without Fire’.This competition was a part of their work experience curriculum planned for the month of April .
The dynamic culinary competition challenged the students to create healthy and appealing meal that had nutritional standards. The dishes the students prepared had ingredients that appealed to their peers and can be replicated easily. We at school believe that cooking is not just making food but learning basic math, reading and time-telling skills; experiencing healthy food choices; building confidence and creativity; enhancing communication and deepening connections with each other.
The enthusiastic participants surprised everyone with their culinary talents. It is a great way for students to learn from themselves and their fellow competitors and to start developing not only culinary skills, but interpersonal skills that will be with them forever.
