Christmas Celebration at Orchids, Bangalore

Christmas is a holy day that marks the birth of Jesus Christ. He took on human flesh and became one of us to die for us and save us from sin, death and the power of devil. Jesus was born to a virgin called Mary who was engaged to Joseph, a carpenter, in the town of Bethlehem. So, Christmas is the season of giving and sharing the blessings with others.

Orchids The International School, Jalahalli, Bangalore celebrated Christmas on December 17, 2013 and Mrs. Pushpa Prasad Dean of Orchids presided over the function. She was accompanied by the Principal Mrs. Anuradha Prabhakar. The school ambiance was filled with festive spirit, joy and oneness. The classrooms were embellished with decorations and the

students and teachers were dressed in red and white to reflect the Christmas theme.

Kum. Abhipsa from Grade V spoke about the significance of the birth of Jesus Christ. The students of LKG along with pre-primary teachers sang ‘Jingle Bells…’ followed by a lovely dance by tiny tots of K2. The celebration ended with a peppy number by the students of Grade IV and V, “A Merry Christmas to all….”

It was a breathtaking celebration at Orchids The International School, Jalahalli, Bangalore.
