It was the day of celebration at Orchids The International School in Bangalore, bringing back the traditional classic tale of flirtatious aspects of Krishna’s youthful days, the Dahi Handi. Celebrating the Lord Krishna’s playful and mischievous side, where teams of young men form human towers to reach a high-hanging pot of butter and break it. This tradition is a major event, known as Janmashtami. Little Orchidians were dressed as naughty kanhas, playing flute and sharing laughter with friends and teachers. The event was festooned when the girls entered the scene with their brightly coloured ethnic wear. The children were at their best, wearing traditional attire, jewellery and best hair style, depicting the character of Lord Krishna in every way. Children at Orchids The International School in Bangalore celebrated this event in a fun way to glorify Krishna..
