Do you know about Rishi Sunak’s Indian origin? Rishi Sunak was born in Southampton to Indian parents of Punjabi descendants, Yeshvir and Usha Sunak. They migrated to Britain in 1960 from East Africa. His parents wanted to give a comfortable childhood and he indeed made the best out of that.

After completing his schooling from Stroud School, he joined Winchester College, an independent boys’ boarding school. He was the headboy there. Just after graduating from this college, he joined Stanford University to pursue his MBA and graduated as a scholar. He worked as an analyst for the investment bank Goldman Sachs. In 2004, he joined hedge fund management firm, The Children Investment Fund Management. But from a mere employee, he became a partner of the company in just two years in 2006. When Rishi left The Children Investment Fund Management in 2009 to join former colleagues in California at a new hedge fund firm, he was respected by his fellow workers.

Who Is Rishi Sunak Father-In-Law

The billionaire Narayan Murthy, the co-founder of Infosys, is the father-in-law of the UK prime minister Rishi Sunak. He met his daughter, Akshata Murthy during his university days in Stanford. Akshata is the director of her father’s investment firm, Catamaran Ventures and runs her own fashion designing brand.

A man who touches the peak, must bag a lot of achievements. Before Rishi Sunak became UK prime minister, he served as a chancellor to the Conservative Party and lived a life as a business owner. Then, he became MP for the constituency in 2015.  In 2019, he was appointed as chief secretary to the Treasury by Prime Minister Boris Johnson. In 2020, he became the Chancellor of the Exchequer.

Sunak supported Brexit, a proposal of separating the UK from the EU (European Union). He took charge of his action and now has taken hold of the parliament to strengthen the country’s economy.
