What is Rubik’s Cube?

Rubik’s Cube 3*3 is a puzzle that consists of 27 smaller cubes.  The object is to get them back into the original order, which can be achieved by rotating them in various ways and twisting the sides. It has been around for over 40 years now but there are millions of people who have never solved it – even today people find it difficult to solve.

Steps to Solve Rubik’s Cube

Know your Rubik’s cube

The Rubik’s Cube is a three-dimensional puzzle that consists of 26 pieces. Each piece can be turned along the axis running through its centre and it lies flat on one side, with each vertex touching one other surface.

Solve the White Cross

The white cross is the first step, and it has to be solved before anything else.  To solve this part, you need to move the white corners so that they are on opposite sides of each other.   This must be done in a clockwise or counterclockwise direction. You can only rotate one corner at a time, and it doesn’t matter which corner is being moved.   Use the image on the left as a guide to how this 4*4 Rubik’s cube should be solved. The white cross will show you how your cube looks when solved correctly. Rubik’s cube price may differ for different dimensions.

Solve the White Corners

The white corners are also the first step.  To solve this part, you need to move them so that they are on opposite sides of each other and make sure all stickers touch a different surface.   This must be done in a clockwise or counterclockwise direction. You can only rotate one corner at a time.

Solve the Middle Layer

With the white corners taken care of, you can now move on to the next step.  To solve this layer, align all pieces along a row so that they’re touching each other and then follow suit with another row.

Solve the Top Face

This is the final step in solving a Rubik’s Cube.  To solve this, you need to make sure that all colours are on one side of the cube and then move them so they’re touching each other.  You can also follow suit with another row for this step as well.

Solve the Final Layer

The final layer is the bottom face, which can be solved in a manner similar to that of the top.  To solve this step, align all pieces along a row so they’re touching and then move on to another row.

Congratulations! You’ve completed solving your Rubik’s Cube. Now you can show off your talent to your friends and cousins and make them learn the wonderful joy of solving Rubik’s Cubes!

Best Practices:

  • When you first start, don’t worry about making your cube perfect. It will be frustrating and difficult to get it right away. Just focus on learning the basics and take a break when you feel like you need one. You are definitely going to learn it without a doubt.
  • When you first start, try to learn how to solve the white cross so that it is directly on top of the cube. This will allow for a more stable and less frustrating solving process.
  • Always use your fingers only! Using anything else such as pencils or pens could damage your Rubik’s Cube
