Look and Guess the Number
Question 1 : Can you guess how many cups?

Answer :
Guess and answer. There is 1 cup in the first row, 2 cups in the second row, 3 cups in the third row, and 4 cups in the fourth row.
1 + 2 + 3 + 4 = 10
Therefore, there are 10 cups in total.
Question 2 : Can you guess how many pairs of shoes?

Answer :
Guess and answer. One pair of shoes means 2 shoes. There are 3 pairs
of shoes in the first row, 3 pairs of shoes in the second row, and 3 pairs
of shoes in the fourth row.
3 + 3 + 3 = 9
Therefore, there are 9 pairs of shoes in the given picture.
Question 3 : Look at how different things are kept in groups. Try to guess the total
number without counting each thing.

There are 4 groups in the picture. Each group has 3 glasses. Add the number 3 four times to find the total number of glasses.
3 + 3 + 3 + 3 = 12
There are 12 glasses in total.

5 + 5 + 5 + 5 + 5 = 25
There are 25 bangles in total.

Two same types of earrings make one pair. Count the total number of pairs of earrings.
There are 12 pairs of earrings in the given picture.
Question 6 : There are three groups of spoons.

How many in each group? ………
Answer :
In each group, 4 spoons are arranged upside and 4 spoons are arranged upside down.
4 + 4 = 8
There are 8 spoons in each group.
Question 7 : There are three groups of spoons.

Guess the total number of spoons. ………
Answer :
Guess and answer. There are 3 groups of spoons and in each group, there are 8 spoons.
Add the number 8 three times.
8 + 8 + 8 = 24
There are 24 spoons in the given picture.

Question 8 : Ring the correct answer:

Question 17 : Chipku rat has a long tail. When he was sleeping, naughty cat thought of tying his tail to the poles. She started from the pole with the biggest number. She moved on to the smaller numbers in order. Help her in tying. But the tail should not cross itself anywhere.

Find out the biggest number among the given numbers. Draw a line in the correct order that is from the biggest number to the smallest number Here the number 37 is the biggest number. The number that comes just before 37 is the number 36. Draw a line from 37 to 36. In the same way, draw a line which should not cross itself anywhere.

Answer : Observe the given picture. An old man, the old man’s wife, her granddaughter, a dog, a cat, and a mouse are pulling out the carrot. So, they are 6 in total pulling the carrot out.

Answer : Before the cat, there was an old man, his wife, his granddaughter, and a dog. So, they were 4 in total before the cat joined them.

Look at the groups and guess the total number of bindis.

Question 26: Draw more groups to complete 100 bindis. How many more bindis will you have to draw?
