In the story, He is My Brother, a girl named Meena, carries her brother on her back and walks over a path to a holy place. There were other people who were heading to the same place. A man from his group saw her and asked her why she was carrying the load on her back. He was referring to her brother. To which she simply responded that he wasn’t a load for her.

Question 1 : What are the difficulties that a child who can’t see will face?

Answer : A child who cannot see will not be able to cross the road alone nor see if anybody is coming to physically harm him.
The child will not be able to play freely like other kids.
The child would also face difficulty in using the mobile or television.

Question 2 : Would you help a child who can't walk to school?

Answer : Yes, I will help a child who can’t walk to school.


Question 3 : How can you help such a child and make the child feel one of you?

Answer : I would first be friends with him and make him feel comfortable by sharing my lunch with him. I would also tell my friends to mingle with him. We would play together and not leave him alone.


Question 4: Activity – A Game Blindfold a child with a cloth. He/she must try to catch the other children. Whoever is caught has to be blindfolded next.
