There is no entrance test at the school for classes between grade 1 to grade 7 at Orchids the International School. However, it conducts a basic skill assessment test for admission to class 6 and up to ensure that the child has the basic knowledge required to be eligible for the class.
Most CBSE schools in Mumbai have a classroom size of around 40 students. At Orchids, we have lowered the student-teacher ratio by more than half so that our teachers can give each student the attention they need to excel in their academics.
The Orchid International School branches in Mumbai focus on the child’s overall development, which is why they provide several types of extra-curricular activities such as Music, Sports, Swimming, Reading, Art, Theatre, Health and Wellness, Students Council, and Robotics. There are specialized activity rooms, including an art room, music room, and robotics room.
Yes, the local or regional language will usually be the third language for the child depending on which Branch of Orchids the student is studying in. For example, in the Mumbai branch or any other branch in Maharashtra, the third language will be Marathi. Although, after standard 8, the student is free to choose whether or not they want to continue learning that language.
