Organic Chemistry for Class 4 Maths

Organic chemistry studies organic compounds' properties, types, chemical reactions, and structures. Here students will learn about some organic compounds' structures and names. Also, the types of organic compounds are discussed with their shapes. Also the knowledge of 2d shapes is also connect with this content.

Organic Compounds Meaning

The structure of this organic compound is by the lines, which is known as a bond line structure of the organic compound.

To make an organic compound, we need the following elements:

Hydrogen
Oxygen
Nitrogen

And all the elements are added with the element carbon to make any organic compound. So, all organic compounds must contain a carbon element. The structure of the different organic compounds is different.

Types of Organic Compounds

Scientists have divided the organic compound into four main types those are:

  • Carbohydrates
  • Liquids
  • Proteins
  • Nucleic acid

In chemistry, we get the bond line in Organic chemistry. This chemistry is the study of structure. Here we study about reactions of organic molecules and materials.

Organic chemistry

Every molecule contains carbon(C) and hydrogen (H) atoms.

Here we made the structure of various organic compounds to know their physical and chemical properties.

2D Shapes Question

Question 1:

Find the Number of Sides and the Name of the Shape of the Cyclopentane.

Answer:

Here we get the shape of Cyclopentane as,

pentagon

So, the number of sides is 5, and the shape's name is Pentagon.

Question 2:

Write the Number of Sides and the Name of the Shape of the Given Organic Compound Cyclopropane.

Answer:

From the given figure

Triangle

The number of sides is 3, and the shape's name is Triangle.

Question 3:

The Number of Sides in the Shape of Cyclohexane Is:

  1. 6
  2. 5
  3. 7
  4. 4

And What Is the Name of This Shape?

Answer:

The shape of Cyclohexane is:

Hexagon

It has 6 sides.
Correct option is option i) 6.
The name of the shape is Hexagon.

Question 4:

Fill In the Blank With the Shape Name

bromobenzene

Answer:

Here the answer is,

bromobenzene

Question 5:

Write the Name of the Organic Compound Whose Bond Line Shape Is Square.

Answer:

The bond line of the organic compound Cyclobutane is,

Square

And the above figure is a square.

So, the required organic compound is Cyclobutane.
