After Omana got down from the train, she travelled to her grandmother’s house by autorickshaw, a bus and a ferry.

I have travelled by cars, buses, autorickshaws, hand-drawn rickshaws and trains.

Whenever I travel by train, I enjoy my journey to the fullest. I find travelling by train to be the most interesting because I get to see many types of landscapes, people, their culture, food habits, different villages, towns, cities, stations, bridges, tunnels and many more.

It took Omana around 35 hours and 75 minutes to reach Ammumma’s place.

Well, the total journey took almost 40 hours.

We have to buy tickets for all types of public transports unless we use personal vehicles like cars, cycles, and motorbikes.

We have to buy tickets when we enter museums, zoos, amusement parks, and botanical gardens.

At Ahmedabad station, the train stopped for 20 minutes.

The train reached Madgaon station on the second day of the journey.

The train takes 6 hours to reach Kottayam from Kozhikode.

The train travelled 2649 kilometres throughout the whole journey.

Omana travelled 2418 kilometres by train from Gandhidham to Kottayam.

I would love to keep a diary because I would be able to look back and remember the past events of my daily life after a few years.
My Diary—
Monday: Today, I woke up so early. My mother made some tasty vadas for breakfast. Since I had school, I left home at 8.30 a.m. At school, I had a wonderful time with my friends. We played football during lunchtime. I came back home at 5 p.m.
Tuesday: Today I had a maths test at school. Our teacher checked our notebooks and told us we all were doing well. My mother was not feeling good in the morning, so she did not cook anything. I bought some biscuits from the school canteen, came back home. Father made dinner. Slept early.
Wednesday: Today, I did not go to school. I was looking after my mother as she was not well. She was suffering from a fever. My father called the doctor in the evening, and he prescribed some medicines for her.
Thursday: Today is a good day because my mother is quite well now. She cooked the tastiest khichdi for me. I went to school. I learned that the District Inspector will come to visit tomorrow. I came back early as the last few classes were suspended at school.
Friday: Today I went to school very early. Many of my friends performed in front of the District Inspector. It was a good day. I came back early.
Saturday: I am so tired today. I went to a movie with my family. We had dinner together at a dhaba. I ate too much.
Sunday: I have been busy preparing my lessons since morning as our annual exams start in the coming week. Everybody is studying hard. I did not get much time to play with my friends. Going to bed early today.
