1.Roads Are Used by Different Types of Vehicles. But Some Roads Are Narrow While Some Are Broad. Why?

  • The size of roads varies based on the number of vehicles moving on that road.
  • Earlier, the use of vehicles was limited, and hence, the roads were made narrow.
  • However, with the increase in vehicles, broad roads like highways and expressways were constructed to manage the traffic.

3.It Is Fun to Sit in the Front Seat of a Car. But Why Are Children Not Allowed to Sit in Front?

Children are not allowed to sit in the front seat due to the following reasons—

  • In the case of accidents, the person in the front seat is more prone to injuries.
  • Children block the view of the rear-view mirror unknowingly.
  • Children may fall asleep in the front seat, which may distract the driver.

4.What Is the Purpose of a Tollbooth?

  • The highways built for the smooth passage of vehicles require a vast amount of capital investment.
  • Tollbooths are made to collect money in the form of tax from travellers. The money is then used to maintain and construct more roads on various routes.
