Modal Auxiliary

Modal auxiliaries are helping verbs that are used only with a main verb to help express expectation, permission, ability, possibility, and obligation in a sentence.

1) How to Use Modal Auxiliaries in an Email to a Friend?

    Modal auxiliary verbs can be used to express imaginary or possible situations and use words like “could,” “would,” “might,” or “should”.

    Example:

      Would you kindly explain?

      Would is an auxiliary

    Verb-We use ‘would’ mainly to:

       Talk about the past OR
       Talk about the future in the past OR
       Expression of the conditional mood.
