There are 31 cranes and 39 swans.

Let us find out how many swans and cranes there are in all.

To find the total numbers of swans and cranes, add 39 and 31.
Split 39 and 31 in tens and ones as:
39 = 3 tens and 9 ones.
31 = 3 tens and 1 one.

Bunnu rabbit can eat 29 carrots in one week. Munnu rabbit can eat 42 carrots in one week. Who eats more in a week, and by how much?

We are given that in a week Bunnu can eat 29 carrots, and Munnu can eat 42 carrots.
Since 42 is more than 29, Munnu eats more carrots in a week than Bunnu.
