My grandmother prepares delicious gulab jamun and rasmalai. My mother prepares stuffed parathas, and my uncle prepares special vegetable curries and fritters. Gulab jamun is prepared from khoya, refined flour and sugar. First, all are kneaded thoroughly, and then the dough is shaped into small balls. Then those balls are fried in ghee and then put in sugar syrup. My mother makes different stuffed parathas with spicy potato and coriander stuffing.

My grandmother uses a big iron kadhai to cook on such festive occasions
