Sensory Details

Sensory details use the five senses (sight, sound, touch, taste, and smell) to add more details to your writing.

How To Use Sight Details To Describe Your Visit to a Theatre?

  • Describe what all you see while going to the movie theatre, inside the theatre. It is used in the form of words to appeal to the sense of sight.
  • It helps the reader to visualise your exceptions and experience the story as if they were in the character’s place.
  • Physical attributes of visual imagery are colour, shape, size, shadows, lightness and darkness, and shade are all part of visual imagery.

Example

As I entered the movie theatre , I see a giant screen. It becomes dark asa the movie is about to start. The staff helps us to find our seat numbers. I see few blue lights below.
