The Primary Grades (III to V) at Orchids transition students from the grounds of early comprehension to the high-level conceptualization phase. For example, young children have developed the skills nurtured at the Early Years Program and, from there, can pursue the primary curriculum with the aim to establish knowledge and habits that present opportunities to become a critical reflective thinker. 

The years providing the primary grades are the stepping-stones from building on prior knowledge to future academic goals. Each student is purposely introduced to advanced curricular subjects, for example, across subjects like Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, and Computer Studies. Application-based learning is an integral part of all subjects, producing students who exert their knowledge through application and not just rote memory.

At Orchids, we also encourage creative problem-solving. We have Math Kits, Science Kits, and EVS Kits to make textbook theories visible. It is our hands-on and experiential style of teaching that, coupled with creative opportunities for children, builds children's thinking (clarity, confidence, and curiosity).
