How Family Members Influence You (Grade 3)

Family is one of the most important thing in life. Each day they love & care for us, teach us something new, and. From a Grade 1 student's perspective, family members including siblings and grandparents play a very critical role in bringing him up and providing education. We have to think about the different roles & responsibilities our family members take on.

In what ways do family members impart wisdom to us? 

Parents: 

Parents

Our first teachers are our parents. They teach you walking, talking and eating.” They raise us to be polite, to say “please” & “thank you.” They also tell us not to playing nice, to be responsible & to follow rules. Parents teach us how to read, count and tie our shoelaces.

Siblings:

You can be the first to know someone as a friend! Then, they teach us so that we enjoy each other, share & play together. It is often our older siblings who help us with our homework or teach us new games. Younger siblings teach us patience & consideration for others.

Grandparents: 

GrandParents

Grandparents are love & stories. They tell us about our heritage and customs.’ For example, they might explain how they celebrated the holidays when they were young. Our grandparents teach us how to bake yummy cookies or take care of the plants in the garden.

Other Family Members:

Even aunts, uncles & cousins shape us.” The. They teach us to meet (and hopefully kiss) other people, & how to have fun in a group. Cousins teach us new games and uncles or aunts take us on trips to see the zoo.

That is something many of us learned through our family when they taught us to say "sorry" or "excuse me".

Healthy Eating: 

Our family's recommendation is to include fruits & vegetables in our diet. They instruct us to consume a sufficient amount of water & not indulge in excessive sweets. 

Daily Routines: 

We learn important habits, such as brushing our teeth, washing hands and sleeping on time with family members. 

Helping Others: 

The act of parents taking care of us or offering aid to others teaches us that we can also be kind & helpful.
