What Is a Spring Tide?

During the Full moon or new moon, the sun, moon, and Earth are in alignment, and the solar tide has an additive effect on the lunar tide. This creates extra-high tides on tidal bulges or shallow tides in the other parts. Both the Extra high tides and shallow tides are called spring tides.
