The right age for class 3 may differ from state to state, but as per the Indian government, the suggested age is 7+ years. Per government rules, your kid must pass class 1 and class 2 before joining class 3. Your child must also fulfil the age criteria for admission to class 3, following state education regulations. In 2022, The Department of Education in Karnataka increased the age for entry into class 1 to six years from five years and five months. So, according to that, the suggested age for admission in class 3 is eight years, followed by the Education department of Karnataka. Likewise, each state has their own rules and regulations regarding education.
