What Is the Future Tense?

The tenses are of three types: past tense, present tense, and future tense. The future tense is used to describe an action, event, or state that is going to happen in the future or will continue in the future. It is used to talk about intentions, make predictions, or discuss scheduled events. 

What Are the Types of Future Tense? 

The future tense has four types to show how the actions in the future behave differently in various situations, they are: 

• Simple Future Tense: It is used to talk about an action that will happen in the future. For example, “She will come.”

• Future Continuous Tense: It is used to talk about an action that will be taking place in the future. For example, “She will be coming.”

• Future Perfect Tense: It is used to talk about the action that will be completed before a certain time in the future. For example, “She will have come.”

• Future Perfect Continuous Tense: It is used to talk about the action that will continue for a duration until a specific time in the future. For example, “She will have been coming.”
  
  

Structure and Formula of Future Tense 

Each tense follows a different structure. The formula of the future tense is:

Subject + will/shall + base form of the verb

When to Use Future Tense?
