What Is the Present Continuous Tense?

The present continuous tense denotes actions or events that are happening now or ongoing in the present. The present continuous tense is used to describe current actions, temporary situations, and planned future actions. The formula of the present continuous tense is: 

Subject + am/is/are + ing form of verb

For example, she is playing in the park.
