Food from Plants: Food that grows on plants like fruits, vegetables, pulses, nuts, oil, etc., is the food that comes from plants. We get wheat, rice and corn from plants. Some plants give us pulses like chickpeas, masoor dal, and kidney beans. Seeds of some plants give us oil. Spices such as cardamom, cinnamon and black pepper also come from plants. These spices add taste to our food.
Food From Animals: We get different kinds of food from animals, including milk, honey, eggs, cheese, etc. Some animals like cows, buffalo and goats give us milk. We also get dairy products like butter, curd, cheese, etc. We get honey from honeybees and eggs from animals like hens. Animals like fish, hen and goat give us meat.
