Ozone Depletion: The accumulation of harmful greenhouse gases in the stratosphere has led to the depletion of the ozone layer of the Earth, which is responsible for blocking harmful UV rays from reaching us. The ultraviolet rays from the sun are highly dangerous, and they can cause skin cancer.
Air Pollution and Smog: The AQI(air quality index) of various cities is rising due to the excess release of greenhouse gases from transportation. Cars, ships, buses, planes, and other vehicles emit carbon dioxide, causing global warming on Earth.
Contamination of Water Resources: The greenhouse gases mix with clouds and fall as acid rain, contaminating the water bodies such as lakes, rivers, and ponds. This causes harm to aquatic life and to our crops.
