Let us discuss here the general formulas used in basic Maths which are not only used in academic books but also in our day to day life. You must have learned the general BODMAS rule in your primary classes. However, as you begin to approach higher classes from 6 to 10, you will find various mathematic formulas based on different concepts such as Algebra. By this way of question answers on these formulas, you can learn them by-rote. Some other concepts which have formulas include;
Fractions
Percentage
Formula for proportion
Geometry
Trigonometric formulas and many more
A formula is the mathematical expression or definite rule that is derived from the relation between two or more quantities and the derived final product is expressed in symbols. In mathematics, the formulas include numbers known as constants, letters that represent unknown values and known as variables, mathematical symbols known as signs, and exponential powers in some cases.
Formulas List For Basic Maths:
Percent Formulas
Where,
Rate = Percent
Base = The amount you are taking the percent of
Percentage = Product obtained when base is multiplied by rate
Problem 1: Solve for x, if 1/5 = 2/x.
Solution: Given, 1/5 = 2/x
Cross multiplying in the above equation,
1 × x = 2 × 5
⇒ x = 10
Problem 2: Add the fractions 2/5 and 6/7.
Solution:
Here, 2/5 and 6/7 are two fractions.
Adding them,
2/5 + 6/7

An integral formula provides a method to evaluate the integral of a function, representing the area under the curve of that function or the accumulation of quantities.
Integral tables offer precomputed antiderivatives for various functions, simplifying the process of finding integrals for complex or unfamiliar functions.
