The total distance traveled along the border of a rhombus is called the perimeter of a rhombus. We can also call a square a rhombus because it satisfies all the conditions that a rhombus has.

Example 2: Find the perimeter of a rhombus where the length of the side is 7 cm.
Solution:

a=7 cm

=4×7 cm
=28 cm
So the perimeter of the rhombus is 28 cm.
