Mixtures are mainly classified based on how uniformly their components are distributed.
A uniform mixture has the same composition throughout. Its components are evenly distributed, making it appear as a single substance.
The individual components cannot be distinguished with the naked eye.
Examples: Salt dissolved in water, Sugar solution, Vinegar, Air, Brass
A non-uniform mixture has an uneven distribution of components. Different substances remain visible and can often be separated easily.

Metals are generally shiny, hard, malleable, and good conductors of heat and electricity.
Non-metals are usually poor conductors of heat and electricity and may be gases, liquids, or brittle solids.
Metalloids show properties of both metals and non-metals and are widely used in electronics.
Atoms of the same element may join together to form molecules of elements.For example, oxygen gas does not exist as single oxygen atoms under normal conditions. Two oxygen atoms combine to form an oxygen molecule (O₂).
